Magnetic Level Indicator provides clear high-quality indications, and are principally designed as an alternative to glass level gauges. The magnetic level indicator is available in Top and Side-mounted construction. Magnetic Level Gauge consists of three major components: Float Chamber, Float, and Indicator system. The visual indicator is available in two types Follower Capsule and Bi-Colour Rollers.

Magnetic Level Gauge operates on principles of magnetic field coupling, to provide fluid level information. A float chamber is typically constructed with nonmagnetic pipe having a process connection that matches the vessel connections. Float size and weight are determined by the process fluid, pressure, temperature, and the specific gravity of the process fluid. The float contains magnets to provide a 360° magnetic flux field.

A simple non-magnetic pipe with a flange allows a magnet connected to the Float to move up and down inside the tube. An external Bi-Colour Roller channel or Follower Capsule indicates the level based on the magnet position.

Bi-Colour Roller Design:

The indicator system consists of Bi-Colour Rollers equipped with magnets mounted on the rail inside the housing. As the level starts rising or falling magnetic Float also travels with liquid level in a non-magnetic chamber. The magnetic interaction between magnets in Float and Bi-Colour Rollers causes each roller to rotate 180°.

Capsule Design:

The indicator system consists of a colour Follower Capsule which moves in a glass tube inside the housing. As the level starts rising or falling magnetic Float also travels with liquid level in a nonmagnetic chamber. The magnetic interaction between magnets in Float and Capsule causes the Capsule to travel along with magnetic Float. For applications where high and low electrical signals are required, we offer adjustable limit switch assemblies.
