The operating principle of the radar level transmitter involves a microwave pulse transmitted downward from the antenna. When the microwave hits the surface of the medium, it is reflected back to the antenna system. The received signal is then processed by the electronic circuit, automatically converting it into level signals. Due to the rapid propagation of microwaves, the process of emission, reflection, and reception happens almost instantaneously, ensuring real-time level measurements.
